Pastor Larry Elizondo  

Larry is the senior pastor at Calvary Chapel Aptos.  He has been involved with Calvary Chapel for over 30 plus years in various ministries including senior pastor, associate pastor, worship leader and Sunday School teacher.  He has a wife and three grown daughters and is the proud grandfather of four grandchildren.  Larry enjoys playing the sax and piano for the worship team.  He has dedicated his life to the study of God's Word and encouraging the congregation at Calvary Chapel Aptos under the leading of the Holy Spirit and the agape love which flows from the Father.

 

 

 

Oscar Rodriguez, Elder

Oscar serves as the church board treasurer and works with our accountant to manage the budget and finances. Oscar is our resident poet and provides insight and inspiration during the announcements on Sunday. Oscar is the manager of the Berkeley Farms distributorship in Castroville and is a man who needs little sleep often working 15 hour days. Oscar is married and has two grown daughters and two grandchildren. Oscar plays bass and sax in our worship band. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tom Meyers, Elder

Tom  has been teaching Sunday School for several years and has a special love for God's Word. He often speaks at the Men's breakfasts and fills in for Pastor Larry for Wednesday night Bible Study. He has served in almost every capacity even cleaning the church with his wife for two years. He is a large animal veterinarian in Watsonville and has been in practice for almost forty years.

These five men make up the remaining servants on the Church Board. These men are responsible for doing the offerings, communion and helping make meetings function smoothly. Each of these men has demonstrated a servant's heart and has demonstrated the character qualities described in the Bible for deacons.

Calvary Chapel understands that the LORD is in control of His church and He has selected men in the body to serve Him through prayer and counsel together to seek out and follow His will for the body of believers. These men serve together to make up the "Board" which has the legal and official responsibility for management of the church. Under the direction of the senior pastor, who is the chief shepherd of the ministry of this church, the Board follows the guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide the unique service intended for this church in this city, county, state and nation. As a result of seeking His will we have opened a pre-school and we support the work of 4 missionaries with YWAM in Hawaii, Oregon and Britain.
