The Men's Ministry is open to men and youth from 12 to 100 years old offering men a chance to fellowship together and examine the difficult issues faced today as leaders of our family and of the church.
Thursday night at 7 PM come and study the book of Ecclesiates with George Zaferes and Chuck Hernandez in the main sanctuary of the church. The second Saturday of every month from 8 AM until 10 AM in the fellowship hall men meet for breakfast and time of prayer, worship and a devotional led by one of the men in the fellowship. Open to men of all ages and fathers are invited to bring their sons with them.
Women's Ministry
Calvary Chapel Women's Saturday Fellowship is a sweet time of prayer for each other and our church. The Women's Fellowship meets at the church, the third Saturday of every month, 9:30-11:00 am. Children are precious in the sight of the LORD and they are important to us here at Calvary Chapel Aptos. Our love for children and recognizing the importance of their education is the reason why we operate a pre-school half days during the week. Sunday morning worship time finds the kids in the main sanctuary with the adults as family worship is an important part of growing up in a world filled with conflict. We believe that adults and children worshiping and praying together is an important part of bringing up children to know the LORD and to love Him. After worship service, the children go downstairs to the classrooms where they spend time in study of the Bible with their teachers. Ministry for children of all age from toddler up to high school is offered during this 45 minute Children's Church time. Like all other church ministries this area is always in need of servants who are willing to sacrifice their time during the week in preparation and sacrifice their own personal time in the main sanctuary in study to share with the kids. Worship is a major part of Calvary Chapel. The Worship Team is under the leadership of Kent and Donna Hardwick Hardwicks54Him@aol.com who organizes and has oversight of this ministry. Each week a different leader and band will lead the congregation off in 30 minutes of songs of praise and worship. Any Christian member of our church with an interest in music, running the sound board or powerpoint is welcome to contact Kent and Donna or any one of the other worship leaders to see how they can get involved in this ministry.
Calvary Chapel Aptos welcomes its members or visitors to join in prayer for the service every Sunday morning at 9:50 in the Pre-school office in the fellowship hall. We pray for the service, worship and fellowship of the church then. Anyone with a prayer need or requesting counsel may ask any of the elders or pastor after the service and we would be glad to minister to you through prayer and anointing.
If you are need of prayer, go to Prayer Requests and it will be forwarded to the Leadership of Calvary Chapel Aptos. You will be prayed for by the Staff during their devotional time.
We have some on going prayer needs for God's healing touch for Kendal with her cancer. Please also pray for our Missionaries ( Kim, Danny & Linda, Amos & Ellen, and Becky) as well as the ministry of the two pre-schools.
Calvary Chapel Children's Center
Our program offers a wide variety of learning activities that encourage and enhance each child's development in all areas. Our primary goals are:
* to insure a safe and loving environment, where each child is valued, accepted, and encouraged
* to form partnerships with our families, so we can best meet the needs of each child
* for the children to enjoy an appreciation for themselves and others
* for children to develop the ability to observe, listen, understand and verbalize
* to further enhance each child's curiosity and desire to learn
* to help each child feel comfortable and confident in trying new things.
Bible time is provided daily. We believe in the importance of a child's introduction to God and that it should be simple, positive, and add to his/her sense of security. Heart to Hearts PIP is a non-profit, parent participation co-operative preschool in Scotts Valley California. Heart to Heart PIP is affiliated with Calvary Chapel Children's Center in Aptos. We are located at 127 Vine Hill School Rd. Siltanen Park in Scotts Valley California. Heart to Hearts PIP is operated and maintained by its members, which provides an excellent program at a moderate cost. Under the guidance of a Teacher Director, parents participate in operating this non-profit for the benefit of their young children. Heart to Hearts PIP provides specialized programs for pre-school children, along with daytime parent education.Families share in the preschool experience, gain valuable parenting skills and develop a parental support group. The efforts of parents and their direct involvement during the school day make this parent participation preschool a unique educational endeavor and provides an essential support group for growing families.
